First draft of monologue due TODAY

Students had the entire period to write/type their first draft of the monologue. Because of a tight deadline and the exhibition requirements, final drafts are due next Thursday.

Turning the interview into a monologue

Students should have completed their interview. We watched 2 students exemplars of the monologue performances. We did a pre-writing activity to help students extract some of the requirements for their monologue (symbols, direct quotes, etc.).

Homework
Read Chapter 2 Enrique's Journey and complete the reading response questions.

SAT Essay Prep

Since many students will take the SAT on Sat. November 7th, we are reviewing the rubric and strategies for the essay portion of the SAT. This will happen on both Tuesday and Thursday of this short week.
